Delegates can look forward to a content-packed forum with a keynote address by Mr. Pascal de Petrini, Chairman of Asia, Danone, presentations by industry experts, lively panel discussions as well as a networking lunch.

Dr. Amy Khor, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources & Ministry of Health is the Guest of Honour for this event

Register and make payment by 25 September to enjoy early bird rates.

What You Will Learn

• The key drivers of the move to a circular economy – this includes regulation, resource scarcity, environmental degradation, social license and technology.
• The risks to companies in this transformation to a zero carbon, circular economy, and how to manage them.
• The opportunities available in this economic transformation and how they can be incorporated into your company strategy.
• How Singapore can be best prepared to capitalise the global and regional trends towards circularity to be at the forefront of this change.

Objective

This is a question of survival: the survival of our planet and of our species. Think about it. In less than 12 years there will be 9 billion humans on this planet. The pressure on resources of all kinds will increase exponentially. What should our response be? Clearly, we have to do something in our own interests and those of our children and succeeding generations.

Most of the world’s environmental problems have been caused by humans. We can rectify many of these challenges by taking a different approach. Instead of producing ever-increasing amounts of waste that typify the existing linear economic model, we have the capabilities and the opportunity to create goods and services which produce materials for recycling. That is the definition of the circular economy: a virtuous cycle rather than a vicious one.
