Synopsis

Timor-Leste is one of the eleven sovereign nations of Southeast Asia. The country shares a land border with Indonesia and is located some 500km to the northwest of the Northern Territory of Australia, across the Timor Sea.


The Timor-Leste Government has been incorporated its five major development priority which is aligned with the National
Strategic Development Plan 2011-2030 namely: development of infrastructures, development of social capital, development of the economy, government consolidation and anti-corruption. Among those five priorities, the government has putting a significant effort and will continuing to improve the business enabling environment in order to diversify its economy away from oil and gas.

Objective

· An overview about Timor-Leste and its unique selling point

· Private investment legal and regulatory framework in Timor and Government support toward private investment
· Deep insight on Government development priorities in tourism, petroleum, mineral, and strategic infrastructure projects in Timor-Leste
· Learning and networking with Timorese businesses to explore possibility to do partnership
